URBAN SAFARI EUROPEAN THEATRICAL PREMIERE
Yaletown Entertainment Corp. announces that the comedy feature film Urban Safari owned by its 50% subsidiary, Urban Safari Films Inc., will premiere theatrically in Switzerland in July, 1996.
A distribution agreement has been signed with United International Pictures of London, England for a five city Swiss release for Urban Safari opening on July 26, 1996. United International Pictures is a Paramount Pictures, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Universal Studios company which primarily distributes major American studio pictures throughout Europe.
Pursuant to an agreement with Cinerent OpenAir AG the theatrical premiere of Urban Safari will be launched by a special screening of Urban Safari as the opening night feature of the Phillip Morris OpenAir Festival July 19, 1996 in Zurich followed by similar special opening night screenings in Bern and Basil. The Phillip Morris OpenAir Theatre is the largest outdoor cinema in Europe with 1800 seats per showing and attracting nearly a quarter million ticket buyers to the Festival.
To date, Urban Safari has been sold in over fifteen countries with sales to another ten countries either pending or in progress.
