May 28, 1997 A.S.E Trading Symbol: YAL DON RAMSDEN JOINS YALETOWN TEAM VANCOUVER, B. C., CANADA --- Yaletown Entertainment Corp. announces that effective June 1, 1997 Don Ramsden has joined the Yaletown production team as Vice-President - Production Development. Mr. Ramsden is currently President of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 891, the largest film union in Canada, a position he has held for almost a decade. Mr. Ramsden was also instrumental in creating the Joint Council of Unions which allows film producers to negotiate with only one employee bargaining unit rather than five separate unions, a situation which had become a major impediment for Hollywood studios doing business in British Columbia. Its resolution created labour stability until the year 2000 and contributed significantly to the tremendous upsurge in film production in British Columbia during 1996 and 1997. "Mr. Ramsden has made a major contribution to the growth of the film industry in British Columbia and we expect that he will make a major contribution to the growth of Yaletown" said Yaletown C.E.O. John Cumming. "He is very highly regarded, both here and in Hollywood, and has a wealth of industry experience and contacts. We are proud to welcome him aboard." Yaletown Entertainment Corp. is a Canadian film producer with diversified interests in mineral resource exploration in South America. The company is listed on the Alberta Stock Exchange under trading symbol YAL. For further information, please contact Mr. John Cumming, Chief Executive Officer, at tel: (604) 688-0118. John C. R.
