VANCOUVER, B. C., CANADA ------Yaletown Entertainment Corp. (the "Company") is pleased to make the following announcements:
APPOINTMENT OF NEW MANAGER OF MARKETING AND CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS
The Company announces that M. G. (Mickey) MacMurchy has joined the Company as Manager of Marketing and Corporate Communications. Mr. MacMurchy joins Yaletown after a long career as a self-employed businessman in the sales and marketing field. Mr. MacMurchy also brings film and television experience having acted in such productions as Clan of the Cave Bear (Darryl Hannah), Secret Sunday (James Farentino, Parker Stevenson) and Wise Guy (Ken Wahl).
Mr. MacMurchy will focus primarily on marketing initiatives for the Company's new television series in development and will assist in promoting the Company's digital postproduction facilities, the Post-Digital Group. He will also assume some of the responsibilities left vacant by the resignation of the Company's former Manager of Corporate Communications, Mr. Roger Kelly who has resigned.
"We previously announced that we already have 45 episodes of television committed for 2001" commented Yaletown President Mike Collier. "However, we cannot become complacent. We have a number of good new series in development and it is important that we aggressively market these to new broadcasters, particularly American broadcasters. Our digital postproduction arm is a state-of-the-art facility and we want to promote its capabilities to producers across the Pacific northwest "
SURRENDER OF STOCK OPTIONS
Concurrent with his resignation, Mr. Kelly has also surrendered all outstanding incentive stock options.
